Description/Blazon
On a dark blue field, a light blue disc edged and displaying a star, all white. Light blue is the color associated with the Infantry units, the star suggests Texas, the "Lone Star" state, alluding to the band's origin as the band of the 24th Infantry at Fort McKavett, Texas. Above the disc three stacked white scrolls inscribed "291ST ARMY BAND" in dark blue. Below the disc, six slanted bars denoting the band's campaign credits Indian Wars, War with Spain, Philippine Insurrection, Mexican Expedition and World War II; at the base of the baldric a white torch, with red and yellow flames, surmounted by a white lyre, is adapted from the US Army School of Music emblem.
